N25 Caviar Experience - JAN x Ikoyi

London, Sunday 6th October: Chef Jeremy Chan of two Michelin-starred Ikoyi will welcome N25 caviar and Munich based Chef Jan Hartwig of three Michelin-starred JAN, for an exclusive seasonal lunch and dinner collaboration. 

As Chef Ambassadors for N25 caviar, these two celebrated chefs and their acclaimed restaurants are brought together to create a series of outstanding dishes that optimise the potential of autumn’s micro seasonal produce, showcasing a select range of caviar varieties highlighted by N25’s craftsmanship. 

Chef Jan’s cooking is one of intuitive creativity, reinterpreting and translating the very DNA of German cuisine with complex intricacy.  Jeremy’s is viewed through a signature lens of bold heat that harnesses flavour highs, innately using spice to weave together complexity and concentration of flavour with often overlooked ingredients in terms of context and culture. The combined result promises an exceptional menu of intricately designed and impeccably crafted dishes that meld two of Europe’s most acclaimed culinary minds in a one-day-only celebration of season, produce and caviar.

The lunch and dinner will be priced at £400 per person with an optional wine, sake, or tea pairing also available on request.

About Jeremy Chan & Ikoyi:

Jeremy Chan is the chef and co-founder of Ikoyi. Born to a Canadian mother and Chinese father, he grew up between Hong Kong, Canada, and England, experiencing a diverse range of cuisines. After graduating from Princeton, he worked in Europe briefly before becoming a chef. In 2017, he opened Ikoyi with his childhood friend and now business partner, Iré Hassan-Odukale. Today, Jeremy is at the forefront of the gastronomic landscape, blending his dishes with spice, flavour and personal experiences.  Ikoyi has been awarded two Michelin stars and is ranked No.42 on The World’s 50 Best Restaurants List. In Spring 2023, Phaidon published Jeremy’s debut cookbook, Ikoyi: A Journey through Bold Heat with Recipes, revealing the very personal record of Jeremy’s incredibly creative and innovative approach to cooking.

About Jan Hartwig and JAN:

Jan Hartwig is the chef and owner of JAN. Born in Helmstedt (Lower Saxony, Germany), Jan’s culinary career began in 2000 with an apprenticeship at  Restaurant Dannenfeld, Braunschweig. From there he learned from the best names in gastronomy throughout Germany. Finally he became executive chef in Restaurant ATELIER in the Hotel Bayerischer Hof in Munich in 2014. The restaurant was awarded 2 Michelin stars in 2015 and earned the third Michelin star in 2017. Jan left ATELIER in 2021 with dreams of opening his own restaurant. JAN opened in October 2022 and was awarded three Michelin stars in April 2023, making Jan the quickest chef to receive the coveted three Michelin star standing. Jan Hartwig’s personal credo is to be better today than yesterday, so he constantly improves and further develops his skills and dishes. Hartwig is electrified to learn new things and finds new creative impulses in every aspect of life.

Ikoyi at 180 The Strand Opens Monday 5th December 2022

On the 5th of December, Ikoyi will welcome guests to its new home within London’s new space for the creative industries, 180 The Strand on London’s Northbank. With a dedicated entrance on the corner of Surrey Street, the larger restaurant and kitchen space will afford its co-founders, Jeremy Chan and Iré Hassan-Odukale, the freedom to focus on the future evolution of their pioneering restaurant.
